Susan Sarandon Goes To The Dogs For Letterman Interview

Hollywood legend Susan Sarandon has revealed she keeps scrapbooks with photos of her dogs with celebrities.
The actress famous for her appearances in the films Thelma & Louise, Dead Man Walking and, most recently, The Lovely Bones had her two ‘mutts’ in the audience as she showed chat show host David Letterman pictures of them with The Jonas Brothers, Pierce Brosnan and Barack Obama.

‘We go places and they get their picture taken with famous people, so I started a scrapbook for them,’ she told Letterman, who deadpanned: ‘That’s a good idea.’The two dogs – a pomeranian poodle and a pomeranian maltese – were in the audience as Sarandon told Letterman: ‘One is very laid back… the other has a substance abuse problem. She’ll eat anything.’

Arriving at New York’s Ed Sullivan Theatre to film the interview, Sarandon was carrying both dogs in Christmas outfits, and handled the freezing and incy conditions that have hit the city by wearing a sensible pair of running shoes.The cataloging of puppy pictures began in 2007 after the crew on the film Mr Woodcock made one of Sarandon’s dogs a prom dress identical to the one she wears in the film.

‘They did a really sweet thing,’ she said at the time. ‘I had brought my little dog, who’s just a mutty dog and they made her a prom dress just like mine. She wore it to my son Jack’s pre-prom junior year dance.

‘It had little rhinestones and was made from the same material as my outfit in the film. I’m now starting a scrap book with my dog with all of these pictures… it’s pretty funny.’
