Spring Scents for Your Pampered Pooch

The weather’s warming up, your dogs are outside more, and boy can they get dirty fast. That’s why Paw Nation (well, some of Paw Nation’s stinky dogs, actually) put Nootie shampoos and daily spritzes to the test.

These pet cleaning and freshening products come in four delicious scents: Japanese Cherry Blossom, Warm Vanilla Cookie, Cucumber Melon and Sweet Pea & Vanilla. We tried the Warm Vanilla Cookie scent and as soon as the wet dog smell went away (always a post-bath hazard), the dogs truly smelled like yummy vanilla! The shampoo got good and sudsy, and, even better, the stink stayed away as long as we kept spritzing with the daily spray.

While the scrumptious scents are the big draw, the paraben-and-sulfate-free formula contains goodies like oatmeal and aloe and has no harsh chemicals. (You can find a full list of ingredients for each fragrance on the Web site.) We also loved the fun packaging. The shampoo and spritzer fit together so not only does it take up less space, but it’s easy to keep the set together.

Our only complaint? We wish the spritz bottle was a bit larger. We’re going through it far more quickly than the shampoo. (Though, upon reflection, perhaps that means we should be bathing our dogs a bit more often.)

Interested in trying Nootie for yourself (well, for your dog’s self)? Stay tuned; we’ll be giving four bottles away to some lucky Paw Nation readers next week!
